Sometimes I go through my phone and there is no one to call.
The feelings of sadness and loneliness creep in like a thief in the night, not only to take but wanting to give.
To give me misery and doubt.
The emotional torment gives the thief something to smile about.
The thief took my joy and replaced it with distraught.
My sorrow has become another person's joy.
I turn off my phone and realise nobody wants to hear my voice.
My silence comforts me instead, I am my own burden nobody wants to share.
Weeping lasts for the night and joy comes in the morning.
The thief is gone, and so is my troubles.
The sky is blue and the sun is shining too.
The pit of emptiness starts to fade,
I don't know what will happen today,
I just pray it's not the same as yesterday.
