Tomorrow is my birthday, and I am excited yet a bit nervous to enter the year 23 and experience all that it has in store for me.
The year 22 has been overall pretty good and I have learned a lot during that year and went through a lot too, ultimately coming out wiser in my age.
Therefore, with that being said I have written down 22 things I have learned at 22:
1. Staying as true and authentic to yourself is important as it helps you navigate your life easier
2. You actually don’t have to do anything you don’t want to do
3. Find a hobby and do it as regularly as possible. This helps with mental well-being
4. It’s okay to be by yourself for a while and learn more about you
5.Following your passion is important
6. Social media isn’t real life and don’t base life decisions or mental decisions from that
7.Everything happens for a reason
8. You don’t have to live up to a standard other people set for you that you didn’t contend to
9.You don’t have to be the same person as yesterday
10. Sheet face masks from Garnier are amazing
11. Always try and find a discount before you buy full price
12. A bath really does help decompress the mind
13. There’s nothing better than laughing
14. You may not be everyone’s cup of tea and that’s okay - they don’t define who you are and what you’ve been put on this earth to accomplish
15. Solitaire is actually such a great card game
16. LinkedIn is so valuable if you want to establish yourself as a career person
17.Don’t be afraid to put yourself out there
18. You are the beholder of your beauty, seeing yourself in a much better light makes you care less about what other people think
19. Following that, the thoughts of those who don’t know you, nor care for you or about you DO NOT AND WILL NEVER MATTER
20. Life is full of seasons, expect change
21. 'Many are the plans of a man’s heart, but it’s the purpose of the lord’s that prevails', trust in God and pray over everything and anything
22. Happiness is a hard choice but you can still opt into trying to live life through a more positive mindset
